WCH Annual Report – Award Nomination

Modus nominated for the Excellence in Annual Reports Award.

modus were commissioned to prepare an Annual Report for this leading Worcestershire Housing Association. The brief called for ‘something different’.

modus proposed a non-printed on-line digital flip book with embedded video case studies. The publication called ‘It’s all about you’ features staff and customers sharing their success stories over the year and is a colourful and creative publication  designed to appeal to stakeholders, staff and customers alike.

The starting point was WCH staff, but not the office based ones that are easy to get to!  We mean the ones that spend their days (and nights) delivering services. The sheltered scheme cleaners, the wardens and the estate rangers. We asked them to tell their stories and to share their daily interactions. To give us examples of how the work they do really makes a difference to local homes and lives.

We filmed 6 case studies from the rooftops of the high-rise flats down to void and empty hoses being restored for family life. We shot real photos of real people and over 6 days filming and snapping we were ready to work with the crafted editorial from the client coms team.

The TPAS (The Tenant Empowerment Organisation) Awards are held annually and our client nominated our report ‘It’s all about you’ for the Excellence in Annual Reports Award. These awards are to recognise great ideas that show what can be achieved when people are truly involved. The awards are at the end of February 2014.
