Over 3,000 expected at the modus challenge cup

modus challenge cup 2013

A masive crowd is expected for this years modus challenge cup with rumours that more than 3000 will head into Sixways to watch this titanic clash between our 2 leading Worcester schools.

Once again we look forward to welcoming RGS Worcester and King’s Worcester as we support the seventh annual modus challenge cup at the home of the Worcester Warriors on 23 October.

Since 2006 Modus have supported this key date in the local schools rugby calendar, once again hosted by Warriors with the game being played on the Warriors premiership pitch. Each year over 3000 people witness this mighty clash between our city’s leading schools. This game is a fantastic advert for rugby and displays all of the core values that both schools promote; sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, discipline and most of all enjoyment.

modus have again sponsored this historic game with a massive e mail campign to over 16,000 Worcestershire Businesses; designed and printed an 8 page match programme ( with funds raised going to The Wooden Spoon rugby charity), a poster campaign, a big push on Facebook to 2,000 followers and a big twitter campaign.

modus’ MD Roger Marshall will present the trophy to the winning captain alongside Warrior and England 7’s super star Richard de Carpentier. The game will be kicking off at 7pm under the floodlights, with RGS looking to gain revenge after King’s School have won the last two annual events.

To get tickets call King’s School Worcester on 01905 721700 or RGS Worcester on 01905 613391. follow modus on twitter @modusman
